LTYC Fast Facts
• LTYC was founded by Dr. Dermell M. Brunson and his childhood friend Ronald Fitzgerald in 2004. It began as a summer workshop and has grown into a school- and community-based program.
• Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) supports youths, ages 5-18, in Baltimore City and neighboring counties with arts programs that empower them to excel in the arts, academics, and social development.
• LTYC partners with schools within the Baltimore City School System to bring LTYC programs into communities across the Baltimore metropolitan area.
• At any given time, LTYC programs provide thousands of underserved youths with opportunities and resources that otherwise would not be available to them.
• LTYC programs build higher self-esteem and self-worth in young people.
• LTYC encourages parents to be involved in every aspect of their children’s learning by sharing their time, personal experiences or professional expertise.
• LTYC is governed by a Board of Directors and operates under the leadership of an executive and administrative team.
• Over 25 practitioners and licensed clinicians comprise the staff for LTYC arts programming in theatre, dance, music, visual arts, creative writing, life skills, and the Parent Empowerment Team.
• LTYC welcomes the support of business, organization or community sponsors, as well as volunteers.
• Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
