Inside Look: Drum Circle with LTYC at Port Discovery!

In celebration of Black History Month and Black Culture, LTYC recently hosted a vibrant Drum Circle at Port Discovery that resonated with rhythm, culture, and community.

This special event gave kids and parents the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in African music and experience the rich cultural traditions that continue to inspire and influence our world. With drumsticks in hand and plastic pails as instruments, participants joyfully banged along, creating their own rhythms and exploring the power of music to connect us all.

The energy was infectious, and it was amazing to see everyone—young and old alike—come together to celebrate through music, movement, and shared cultural experiences. Events like these are a reminder of the importance of exposing our youth to diverse cultures and the creative ways we can celebrate our heritage.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and made this event so special. Stay tuned for more cultural explorations with LTYC, and let’s keep the rhythm of creativity alive!

Check out the fun we had here!
