Step into the world of creativity and transformation with LTYC's Stage Makeup Master Class, where students at Booker T. Washington Middle School for the Arts got hands-on experience preparing for their vibrant production of The Lion King Jr. From learning intricate makeup techniques to bringing iconic characters to life, this workshop empowered young actors to express their creativity and confidence both on and off the stage.

LTYC proudly hosted two talented student interns, Sofia and Leela, for the third year of Montgomery County's Summer RISE program! This incredible initiative provides high school juniors and seniors with hands-on career development opportunities, and at LTYC, we’re excited to support the next generation as they explore creative career paths and build the skills they need for a successful future.

Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) proudly celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of its Black Leading Women’s Celebration, honoring the groundbreaking contributions of women of color in leadership. This event not only recognized trailblazers like Nykidra Robinson and Shelonda Stokes but also reinforced LTYC’s commitment to empowering and uplifting Black women, fostering a community of support and recognition that continues to inspire and unite.

The "Show Your Shine" Art Contest at LTYC celebrated the creative brilliance of our young artists, with submissions full of imagination, passion, and talent. We are thrilled to announce the top three winners, each showcasing unique visions that inspire and empower. Congratulations to Samura Hurts, Acacia Bohl, and Tylar McFadden for their exceptional work and for truly shining a light on the power of youth creativity!

Join us on a flavorful journey with #KidsInTheKitchen as we explore the vibrant world of Jamaican cuisine at Judy’s Island Grill! From mastering classic dishes like Callaloo and dumplings to connecting with culture, this hands-on culinary experience is shaping young chefs and promoting healthy eating habits in a fun, interactive way.

LTYC is proud to receive the Legacy Grant from the Gutierrez Memorial Fund to bring a vibrant mural to life at BayBrook Elementary/Middle School! This exciting project is the result of a heartwarming community-building effort, uniting students, parents, and educators to create something lasting that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the power of youth expression.

LTYC scholars lit up the stage with an unforgettable dance performance at Pharrell's YELLOWHAB Black History Month showcase, celebrating culture and creativity. This incredible night of talent and community spirit highlighted the power of youth expression and artistic unity. A big thank you to YELLOWHAB for hosting such a dynamic event and to all the educators and performers who made it a success!
